Hackers are launched against the gap newest IE7
Attackers are already exploiting a vulnerability in Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) from Microsoft patching just one week, as several researchers have warned security.
While these attacks on Internet Explorer 7 is still being produced in quantities of “very, very small, may represent merely the forerunners of a vast campaign of hacking, according to Jamz Yanez, director of threat research for Trend Micro. “I think this is a proof of concept,” says Yanez, who also notes that the operating system being used is extremely direct, devoid of any attempt to mask the attack route, for example, installing a rootkit on the PC of the victim.
The new attack code, which Trend Micro is referred to as “XML-Dloadr.a comes to the victim in a message using spam techniques, and is in a malicious file, which is presented as a document in Microsoft World . In case the user opened the document and your PC is not patched with security update MS09-002 released by Microsoft last week, the team would be “hijacked” by hackers. The patch from Microsoft IE7 covered two holes, both critical and six more in other manufacturer’s software.
